This reception was filled with highlights.  Daniel and Lauren did a simple but energetic grand entrance where we introduced just the two of them into their cocktail hour.  Dinner was amazing and it was capped by a toast and surprise video presentation put together by Lauren’s sister Carolyn.  Carolyn, Daniel and Lauren all live and work in Africa.  Needless to say, many of their friends from Africa were not able to attend the reception and Carolyn compiled a video of well wishes from these people.  The couple was truly surprised and the guests were very entertained.  After this presentation we moved all of the guests to the Lakeside room for the Cake Cutting and then immediately entertained them with  a slide show set to music that was also well received.  Activitity then moved to the dance floor and we had a very fun and energetic group all night.  I organized a short dance set down on the intermediate lawn area at the Inn towards the end of the evening where guests danced and lit sparklers before moving back up and onto the dance floor for our grand finale.

Daniel surprised Lauren by riding his motorcycle onto the dance floor where she hopped on and they were off to their honeymoon.  This was really fun and one of the best grand departures I’ve been a part of.  We coordinated it perfectly and Daniel rode in while I played Steppenwolf-Born To Be Wild and after Lauren hopped on and as they departed I played The Indiana Jones Theme, an inside reference to the family and guests.

We then partied for a little bit longer with family and friends before sending off a happy and worn out group into the night.

The reception was very intimate as it was a small group of just about 30. The Lakeside dining room was set with one long banquet table with John and Tracey and their kids at one end the other end open so everyone could enjoy the view of the lake that the Lakeside Room provides.
The Party was great! John and Tracey love Karaoke so we mixed in Karoke songs with the dancing and it was really great time.
